- Unchanged: The quiet toolkit.
Removed: − Built nicely.- Added: + Built carefully.
Worked example
Original “The quiet toolkit. / Built nicely.” against “The quiet toolkit. / Built carefully.” keeps the first line, marks the old second line as removed, and the new one as added. Swap sides if you pasted them the wrong way around.
FAQ
- Line or word compare?
- Lines is the default — a one-word change marks the whole line. Words highlights the tokens that actually moved.
- What if the texts are very long?
- A long document with a small edit is compared in full, and unchanged stretches are folded. Two very different long texts are left uncompared so the page stays responsive — paste a shorter section, or switch from words to lines.
- Can I copy the result?
- Yes. Copy diff gives a unified-style listing you can paste into a review.
- Does any of this leave my browser?
- No. Your text stays on your device.
