Worked example

FAQ
- Is the image uploaded?
- No. Your files stay on your device. The photo is redrawn on a canvas in your browser, then offered as a download.
- Why is the result a JPEG?
- The compressor saves JPEG so the quality slider can shrink the file. If your image has transparency, that's flattened onto white.
- Will this hurt print quality?
- For large prints, you'll want the original. The size cap and the quality slider are meant for screens and the web.
- Can I compress several photos?
- Yes — add up to 12. They are processed one at a time so the browser stays stable. Quality updates shortly after you move the slider, then you can download each file or all of them.
