Wheel Spinner
Spin a wheel of names or options. The pointer at the top is the winner.
4 equal slices
- 1. Ada
- 2. Lin
- 3. Noor
- 4. Sam
Winner: —
The pointer is at the top. Slice 1 starts there before a spin. The winner is whoever lands under the pointer.
Worked example
Four names, one a line, split the wheel into four equal slices. Spin rotates it, and the name at the top when it stops is the winner.
FAQ
- Are the slices equal?
- Yes. Each non-blank line gets the same angle.
- How is the winner chosen?
- From the angle the wheel stops at, using the list as it was when you pressed Spin. The numbered list is the slice order. Editing the list mid-spin does not change that result.
- What if I prefer less motion?
- If the browser asks for reduced motion, the wheel jumps to the result instead of spinning.
- Can I use it for anything other than names?
- Yes. Any short label works: tasks, lunch spots, or the next person to talk.
