Crypto APY / APR Calculator
Convert between APR and APY from the rate you type.
APY
(1 + APR ÷ n)^n − 1
n is 365 compounds a year, which you chose. Block-by-block compounding is not modelled. The rate is the one you typed.
Worked example
An 8% APR compounded 365 times a year is about an 8.33% APY. Flip the direction and you'll turn an APY back into the APR that would produce it.
FAQ
- What is the difference between APR and APY?
- APR is the rate before compounding. APY is what you earn over a year if that rate compounds as often as you set.
- Which compounding matches a protocol?
- Use 365 for a daily compound and 12 for a monthly one. Some protocols compound every block, which this page doesn't model.
- Is the rate from a live pool?
- No. You type the rate. There's no pool lookup.
