Worked example
Quote Q-104 for a shopfront refresh uses the same lines as the invoice example: $1,560 plus 10% GST is a $1,716 quoted total. The page is labelled Quote, and the notes say it is an offer, not a request for payment.
FAQ
- What is the difference between a quote and an invoice?
- A quote is a proposed price before anyone is committed. An invoice asks to be paid. When a quote is accepted, Create invoice copies the details across.
- Are customer details stored?
- No. Only business details you choose to remember stay on this device. Customer names, addresses, and prices are not uploaded.
- Can the GST be zero?
- Yes. Set the GST rate to 0 and the quoted total equals the subtotal.
